30th Congress of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) held in Mexico City on May 11 through 14, 2005
Thanks to a partial grant from the IDEXX Corporation, Spay/Panama
attended the 30th Congress of the World Small Animal Veterinary
Association held in Mexico City on May 11 through 14, 2005. Dr. Itzel
Terrero, veterinary from the first class of veterinarians of the
University of Panama, represented Spay/Panama. Dr. Itzel has performed
to date, over 1,000 sterilizations of homeless animals and animals from
low-income families.
After attending the Congress, Dr. Itzel
participated in sterilization blitz held in San Miguel de Allende and
Guanajuato. The head of the sterilization blitz was Dr. Jeff Young
from Denver, Colorado. Dr. Young came to Panama in November 2004 to
train Spay/Panama vets.
