SAN JUAN DE PEQUENI RIVER

On September 12-13. 2009  part of the Spay/Panamá and two World Vets volunteers went to three comuunities on the banks of San Juan de Pequeni River (Purú, La Bonga, y San Juan Rural).  

63 dogs, 2 cats and 3 horses were sterilized and dewormed.  The horses were vaccinated against tetanous; the dogs and cats were vaccinated against rabies, had their ears cleaned, sprayed against fleas and ticks and given an injection of vitamins

August 6, 2009:  1 dog and 1 cat
September 12-13, 2009:  61 dogs, 1 cat and 3 horses
September 20, 2009:  1 dog

Operations and treatment were offered at no cost.
