SPAY DAY 2010
Spay
Day is an annual campaign of the Humane Society International and the
Humane Society of the United States to inspire people to save animal
lives by spaying or neutering pets and street animals.
Organizations
from Kenya, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa,
Tanzania, Uganda, Bahamas, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa
Rica, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Grenada, Honduras, Jamaica,
Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago,
United States, Venezuela, American Samoa, Cook Islands, India,
Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Lebanon, New Zealand, The Philippines,
Azerbaijan, France, Lithuania, Malta, Romania, Serbia, and Ukraine
joined forces to celebrate Spay Day in February 2010.
In
Panama, this was a historic and successful event, the Health
Ministry of the Panamanian Government, the group Los Angeles de los
Animales and Fundacion Spay/Panama coordinated our resources and
efforts to sterilize 148 dogs and 22 cats. The event took place
at the Nuevo Progreso School in Tierra Prometida
on February 28, 2010.
